What is happiness? Happiness is a feeling of being pleased; being satisfied by doing something or as a result of some achievement. So if happiness is this, then is it so that we set pleased or have sense of achievement through money only? No, it is certainly not so.

Money may bring momentary happiness or can give some sense of achievement, but in very low percentage of what real happiness is. The happiness or satisfaction we achieve by other means.

For example, the foremost action for divine happiness or satisfaction is through prayers, by thanking god almighty for what we are and for his blessings. This divine happiness is certainly not brought by money.

The other examples could be related to having and meeting good old friends, achieving good results in studies, a word of ‘well done' or appreciation by parents or teachers, teaching someone, doing good deeds etc. All these things do bring happiness but without involvement of money.

Here I will also like to give an example of a rich man many years ago, who was having gold coins and diamonds and got lost while crossing a desert as he was going for some buisness. After few days he was finished with water and met a man who was having some. He requested him for one sip of water for all his money, but couldn't get it. So what is the need of such money when it cannot buy a single sip of water and no happiness?

On the other hand if I say that if people have money beyond a certain proportion, instead of bringing happiness it brings more evil. People kill each other for money, some rob money, and some use it or earn it through illegitimate sources. If money could bring real happiness, then our religion would have advocated collection of as much as possible. It is, therefore, not the case. Instead, some religions tell us to give money to the needy/poor ones, so that money remains in circulation and does not grow beyond certain proportions, with only a few.

So here I prove the point that money does not bring happiness. If I say that in most causes, it brings greed and evil, it would be rather a correct statement.
