In Fantasyland, across from the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, you will find an interactive fun spot for the smaller kids and for the kid in you who wants to rest for a while in a shaded area. Disney has paved Pooh's 100 Acre Woods with their special rubber, sponge-like surface so that when you fall down, you bounce.

What a fun spot for the younger crowd of kids to crawl in, out, around, and through their favorite things like trees, hollow logs, slides, water fountains, a honey pot, and Pooh's houses.

Watch for signs like "Floody Place," "Pooh Sticks Bridge," "Eores Gloomy Place," "Be wary of Heffalumpz and Woozlez," "The Hunny Tree," Gophers House," and other detailed signs.

Ride Experience:
The centerpiece of the area is Pooh's house with his bee hive hanging from the massive tree. The house is big enough for some chairs, a table, pictures, etc. Around the area your kids will find hollow logs to crawl through, slides to go down, two fountains to splash in, bridges to cross, and a tipped over honey pot with flowing honey to investigate. Do not forget to follow the sign and oversized Heffelump honey pots leading to Rabbit's Garden.
What Disney Says:

"Slide, jump and splash at this new 6300 square-foot play area designed especially for toddlers! Ride the slippery slides, cool down in two refreshing water fountains, and crawl through a wondrous tree house filled with tables and chairs and other delightful surprises. Parents take a break on a hand-carved tree bench while they watch their children having the time of their lives! "

Notes, Tips and/or Facts:
As a tribute to Jules Verne classic submarine Disney Imagineers have carved a blue submarine on the inside of the door frame in Pooh's house. It's a tight squeeze for an adult, but an interesting sight.

Author's Comments:
In 2004, Disney drained the "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" 11.5 million gallon Lagoon and replaced the area with Pooh's Playful Spot. The popular 20,000 Leagues attraction was operational for 23 years and was closed due to maintenance and loading issues.
