For those people that have demanding careers, children and aging parents, hiring a family caregiver is a must-do. Family caregivers can help you out with a wide variety of services such as giving out medication and helping with physical therapy, coordinating treatment regimens and schedules, assisting with daily tasks and providing emotional support if needed.

According to a recent study presented by Peter Arno at the NIH Care Coordination and the Caregiving Forum, 26.5% of all American adults today are family caregivers.

Having a busy a life can be very tough on a person. Also having to take care of your aging parents on top of that can only mean added stress. Too much stress can lead to anxiety, depression or the feeling that you are not living your life as you should. Why live a life of regrets when you can simply hire someone to help you out. Reach your potential without wasting time on things that other people can do.

That doesn't mean that you should abandon your parents and only let the caregivers take care of them. No, the caregiver's job is to assist you with the work so that you can enjoy spending quality time with your family, instead of doing random chores. If you only let that person take care of your parents, eventually they might feel abandoned. Make sure that doesn't happen by visiting them often and doing other activities with them as well.

And if you want to live a somewhat separate live, then you should consider renting a 55 Plus Luxury Living, CA or 55 Plus Senior Apartments, California. The conditions there are great and sometimes it is better for everyone to live separately.

The best thing that you could do is create a plan of how to take care of your loved ones. In that plan you should rally together family resources and make sure that caregiving doesn't fall on only one member of the family.

Even if you do hire someone else from the outside, that still doesn't mean that only one person should be in charge of that. Make everyone does their share of the work. After all, they were raised by the people that need help now.

If you feel that you are overwhelmed and that there is no one that can help you, maybe it is time to turn toward other distant family members and community resources. Don't be afraid to seek out help if you need it.
