Being the Center of it all: Central America Holidays

When people often equate the holidays to something it’s usually the cold weather that ensues. Well, that’s the case in some parts of the world, but in Central America, it doesn’t matter what time of the year you go, it’s going to be nice. Nice weather makes people want to go out and do things and explore the place. Cuba and Guatemala are two examples of places within Central America where the holidays can actually be enjoyed outdoors.  A Central America holiday is sure to make someone forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just chill out. 

Cuba
Cuba is just 90 short miles from the Florida Keys. Draped across a wonderful land and seascape, tourists will find much enjoyment here. There are cigar-making factories that allow you to smoke their wares with enjoyment and without persecution. 

While not smoking on stogies, tourists can enjoy the sun and sand. Atacama, Santiago, Puerto Varas are just a few places where this can happen. Varadero is the most famous beach area because it is a resort town for all intents and purposes. Accommodations there are also very nice and upscale. 

Of course, one cannot go to Cuba without trying out the food. Restaurants are abundant here, but the samplings of unique items simply can’t be missed. With a wide variety of meats and poultry, it is a foodies’ paradise.  Cuban chefs find unique and intricate ways to fully use the fresh herbs and spices grown on the island. The result is a taste explosion in the mouth.

Guatemala

History and archaeology are both so prevalent here. It is the crossroads between two unique settlements and cultures to form what it is today. There is a cultural richness in this country that is seen the second you set foot there. During the holidays celebrations are wonderful there. There are many historical sites here like the Pacaya Volcano, Tikal, and Lake Atitlan.

When not exploring the history, tourists can also enjoy nature with several nature walks and trails. There are many tours that go through forested areas to see the unique wildlife that walks through here. In any case, it is a wonderful sight to see, to be sure.
