My name is Tcat Houser. I am long-standing international Road warrior. Part of this makes me a loyal Priceline client. To complicate matters, I own my own Internet travel portal, which is in direct competition with Priceline. Yes, at the same time, I am a loyal Priceline customer and my own Internet travel agency, and a Certified Travel Agent that competes with Priceline. Confused? That is certainly understandable. Welcome to the complicated world of finding the best deal on travel.

The very nature of TRCB.com is to give you data without judgment. It certainly must look quite confusing that here I stand with my own travel agency on the Internet. And I am both a client of Priceline, as well as one of its competitors. As I create this entry it is the end of for over four long day. As part of the day I have booked close to 10,000 air miles for myself alone, that will be done over the next couple months. After checking many travel portals, including sidestep (which I mentioned specifically because it was founded by the son of an old friend of mine) the end of the day came down to my own site and Priceline as the winners.

Lest you think this is some sneaky promotion for my own Internet travel portal, please note: I haven't told you it's name. And, in this article I'm not going to. And not for the reasons you think. In fact, if you were to carefully look up my other articles, were I do mention the website of my own travel portal that competes with Priceline, you would find currently it goes 404. This is Internet speak for can't find that website. Yes, I have intentionally sabotaged my own Internet travel portal. This is not because I'm an old Priceline client who just today gave them considerable business. It was that simple, I wouldn't be paying the fees to maintain my own Internet travel agency.

The reality is, in the multi-trillion dollar industry known as travel, regardless of all the hype and "guarantees", just as in real life, no one can do it all. And yes, even though I checked dozens of sites, every time, most of the time, Priceline and my own travel agency are the winners.

Of course, this begs the question, why will I not tell you the website address of my own travel agency? The answer is, I am less than thrilled with the, in my opinion, over emphasis of the multilevel marketing approach of the company I'm with. Quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of that aspect of the corporation. I just want to focus on getting the best deal in the complex world of travel, for me and my fellow road workers. If this with Priceline, wonderful. If it's with me, happy to of been service. I don't make a penny on air travel anyway.

To be fair, I'm very proud of the features of the Internet engine of the company I am a CTA (Certified Travel Agent) for. And I save enough money every month on my own travel over Priceline and others to pay the fees for maintaining my own Internet travel agency. Certainly, I could be making additional funds promoting the virtues of the site via multilevel marketing. And I don't. Sure, the webpages are set up and ready to go at the flip of a switch. And it's just not me. For the time being, I'm happy to say. It's between me and Priceline. And I don't care which portal wins. The money I'm saving is my own. This is more important than any artificial loyalty in my book.

In closing for my fellow road warriors. My back door to my own Internet travel agency is roadwarriors

In sharing that, all I ask is you see if it saves you money. If it does, wonderful for you. If not, try Priceline. This is true for cruises, airfare, motels, cars and last-minute bookings. If it doesn't, well, to paraphrase Clark Gable from Gone with the Wind.. "Frankly My Dear I Don't Give a Damn." It's a good option, I am paying to give you the option. I'm not paying for this so you can gripe at me about things I can't control. If Priceline is a better option, do what I do. Make your booking with Priceline or someone else. If you want to tell me about it, save your breath and tells the somebody who cares. This business is too complex to hear your complaints about how you wish it was simpler. Frankly my dear, I wish it was too.
