With the Canon ImageClass D860 copier printer you just cannot go wrong. It is a super investment for either business or personal use. The laser, mono machine is technologically advanced with all the latest features including digital formatting.

Even though the machine is a multi-function device, it fits into any space no matter how small as it only measures a mere 24.5x17.5x15 inches and weighs a slightly heavy 53 pounds. Consumers love compact styling which still offering all the technology and equipment required for the smooth running of operations.

Quality- In general prints are produced at above average level of quality when taking into consideration the rather inexpensive price of the printer. Text quality is absolutely impeccable with clear character outlines with no smears or blemishes. There are absolutely no visible flaws present on the prints.

Graphics and photo printing should rather be avoided as quality is not very good. Print resolutions are 600x600 dpi and copies maximum of 1200x600 dpi. The machine's engine can run at a speed of 16 ppm for normal printing and 18 ppm for copies.

Media compatibility-Compatible media sizes and types are unfortunately a little limited with only letter, legal, plain and A4 sizes. Colour, transparencies, bond and labels paper types accepted by the copier printer. A standard paper tray with a capacity of 500 pages and bypass feeder 100 pages is included with the deal.

Automated feeding cap is very low at a mere 30 page. Image enlargement up to 200% and reduction to 78 % is available for copies. Multiple page collations in the output tray is another super feature of the copier printer. Some owners and users of the device have reported hassle-free printing in terms of paper jams for a period of up to three months. The machine handles large print volumes with the same ease as low volumes.

System and connection compatibility-
Parallel and USB interface options are standard inclusions on the printer. Installation of software has a small trick to it. The printer should only be connected to your computer when prompted to do so by the installation wizard.

Originally the copier printer came out with outdated USB version 1.1 connectivity, a great irritation to users because of its slow speed. Canon designers have replaced the 1.1 version with version 2.0 with bandwidth of 480 Mbp's. Unfortunately, Apple and Linux users will miss out on this investment as the printer is only compatible with Windows operating systems.

Advantages- The product has so many advantages that there is just not enough space on the page to mention all, that why I will only mention the following- documents are produced at the speed of sound, paper jams are non-existent and the price of the copier printer is fantastic, ranging between US$229 and US$333.00. Without a doubt the best printer copier investment you will ever make.

Disadvantages- Disadvantages to the device are so few that they are not even worth a mention but I will mention them just to show you how insignificant they are. You may stumble upon a compatibility problem with the Windows XP operating system and configuration can also sometimes have a couple of glitches-nothing serious.

Starter Canon ImageClass D860 Toner is included in the deal. However replacement Canon ImageClass Toner will be required after 3500 pages. Normal sized toner has a capacity of up to 4000 pages. Cartridges retail for approximately US$133.00. The Canon Printer is a great purchase for any home or office.
