Journalism Is Dead

Just to prove to you that journalism is truly in fact dead, we have a new AP poll which technically has Barack Hussein Obama and John McCain in a statistical dead heat.  What's interesting about that poll is the actual internals, most people don't go into the internals they just look at the overall conclusions and really like sausage don't want to know how it was made.

But to truly see little intricacies of how people are thinking you need to look at the questions and see how they answer on a particular question to really get an idea about what the poll actually means.  For an example one of the questions asks "which candidate has the right type of experience to be president?"  A whopping 71% answered John McCain, and only 20% said he did not.  Contrast that with 46% believes Barack Hussein Obama does and here's the kicker, 44% do not.

This is what's truly amazing when you see polls out there showing Obama with a 10 point lead.  Where are they getting these numbers?  Who the hell are they asking, a roomful of Democrats?  Another very interesting question in the AP poll was who they believe will be elected, 67%-25% said the Obama would be elected.  That tells you what the perception is not necessarily what the reality is.

When you look at the internal numbers, the country is pretty will split with the vast majority thinking McCain is actually better suited to be president, but the perception of who will be elected is overwhelmingly Obama.  Where do people get their perceptions?  Well of course from our friends in the news media.

They've gone out of their way from day one to absolutely shape public perception that this election is a foregone conclusion.  If by some aberration John McCain wins they have succeeded in shaping public perception to such a point that people are going to believe that the Republicans somehow stole the election.

This is what I believe the actual goal was from day one.  Do I think it's a massive conspiracy?  I don't know, but it seems that practically every liberal news outlet seems to be singing from the same hymnal.  Whether they got together and actually planned this in advance I have no way of knowing.

The public perception has been shaped to a point where if John McCain actually wins it won't matter that 71% think he's qualified versus 46% who believe Obama is, it will be common knowledge throughout the land that the Republicans stole the election once again.

Would Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite be spinning in their graves seeing what has happened to their beloved profession?  Again who knows, all I can tell you for sure is that the modern-day media for the most part has been absolutely hijacked by the liberal left whether at gunpoint or from collaboration has yet to be determined.

When Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann rant and rave and shape public perception that everything left is right and everything right is wrong we've got to stop ourselves as a nation and actually take time to question the messenger.
