Libya's decision to resolve outstanding claims through the US-Libya Claims Settlement Agreement is a laudable milestone in our bilateral relationship. No, I don't think so because after so much time why now!

Libyan relations and US suddenly began warming in 2003 when Dictator Qaddafi agreed to give up weapons of mass destruction programs and denounce terrorism. The payment follows the meeting in September in Tripoli between US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, who formally ended a half-century of hostility.

The outgoing Republican President Mr. George Bush signed executive order protects Libya from future claims related to the Lockerbie, Scotland attack, providing it legal immunity. However, the deal was welcome by Michigan Democratic Senator Carl Levin where as the newly elected President Mr. Obama didn't made any comments till yet.

Sudden change in the dictator Mr. Qaddafi is not an act of kindness but a conspiracy however, who are the shadow of him still not confirmed but its same like US won the cold war against Soviet Union using Pakistan as alley and Afghan warriors on front. Later on they changed into Taliban like Tumor change into Cancer.

Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Indonesia and now Pak-Afghan border or Federal Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan are not the safe heaven for the extremist radical groups and they require a new safe place. The mistake done by former President Bush in Gulf War 1991 is repeated by outgoing Republican President on War on Terror.

Fifteen years after the bombing of Pan Am flight 103, Libya accepted responsibility for the attack, agreeing to pay up to $10 million to the families of each victim. Did you brain accept this?
