As the war in Afghanistan is in it's 8TH year and General Mc Chrysal asking for an additional 40,000 troops it is Washington politics's as usual, General Mc Chrystal has come under fire for going public and who is  this coming from? the speaker of the house obviously she does not see the urgency that Americans, Afghans and all the other coalition troops that are being killed including Pakistanis, Maybe she should take time to think about why she is there, and how she got there, and how many people from her district have sons and daughters over there, public opinion is cruel.

But the ultimate question is why are we still there? You could answer that question in many way's, Maybe we should of never had gone into Iraq, I for one was for the invasion of Iraq but soon after that when there was no WMDs found I soon realized that The President was only there to finish what his father was not able to finish. The other question is can you bypass the Taliban insurgents? the answer to that is no, In the 2001 invasion we drove them into Pakistan at the time there were 13 factions and were formed as the (TTP) or the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan there goal is to oust any western influence and explains the recent attacks in Pakistan because of there ties to the US.

Are there some Taliban that regret ties to Al-Qaeda? yes there are, When a former Taliban commander was asked if the alliance with Bin Laden was a strategic mistake he replied  with all my heart and soul yes it was a mistake, but that is only one, what about the rest? I would say that a majority are loyal to Bin Laden.

I hope in future generations that they study this, We have to right the wrongs that have been made from the past mistakes.
