Indonesia as a developing country is facing street children problem. When you visiting big cities in Indonesia, you will see at the crossroad-when a traffic light colored red, many children below the age singing a song with a little guitar or just with hand-clapping as their music instruments. Below a hot Khatulistiwa sunrise, they wearing no shoes, and with a dirty clothes and they skin is black burning by the tropical sun.

"Poor those children". Those words always come from many lips on that bus and expensive car. Here, inside our heart we feel want to help them by giving them money or food. But, should we really give them money? Is it really going to solve their problems? Or, is their problem is really money? Or basic question is where their parents are?
It is hurting us when we know that they have parents. They are working with a little salary, but according to me it is enough to give their children food and low education that we can ask for free when we can not pay for school. Therefore, if we looking behind that dirty clothes and that burning skin we can see that the income from the street is so interesting.

They can earn more than my salary and than salary for some people in Indonesia who can give food and low education to their two children in a month. How do they spend that amount of money? A half is give to their parents and a half they keep it. It is become worst when we know that those 8 years old children using some of their money for drugs. It is so tragic, we put our sympathy for them but they use it on the wrong way.

Give them money is not the answer. It is become our responsibility and government to solve this problem. Government must do explicit action for this and we have to stop giving them money. Distribute a little from your money to the institutions that is concern to the street children.
