How many times have you gotten up in the middle of the night, with a stomach that feels as if the Afghani army were running through it with blowtorches? If you're anything like most middle aged men or women, the answer is too many times.

After you have seen your physician and you continue to have indegestion some of these natural things may help alleviate the discomfort. First, there are some fruits and vegetables when eaten raw that can build up gas. For example, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts are some offenders. Sometimes if you are a nursing mother this seems to directly affect your baby. Second, one of the greatest offenders beans of course so nutritious, but can make the belly bulge.

The culprit is acid; the cure consists of two common houshold ingredients which you should stock religiously in your refrigerator. Those ingredients are apple cider vinegar and aloe vera juice. It may sound silly, and distasteful, but the next time the acid attack occurs, please try the folowing: take two tablespoons of vinegar, mixed with a half glass of water. Drink this down, then wait about two minutes. Take two tabelspoonsfull of aloe vera juice.

The aloe vera soothes and smooths the tummy remarkably; I find it works better than most over the counter remedies, with their unpronouncable affitives. Vinegar is simple acience:acid is neutralized by a base. Make sure that the aloe vera juice is made for consumption and that you are not allergic to wither aloe or vinegar.Try it and see if it works:you have nothing to lose but your acid.

Peppermint tea: My absolute favorite. This is very inexpensive and easy. Either buy mint tea or use the leaves from your garden. One hot cup of this tasty tea eases digestion, gets rid of belly aches caused by eating things that don't agree with you, helps hangovers, and eases nausea.

Chewing certain seeds: Chew one of these for ten minutes: Cardamom, fennel, coriander or ginger. These contain oils that relieve nausea, pain, and get rid of gas. I hope your tummy feels better.
