Goshen's
creamed tuna is a wonderful quick dish that is good for camping and good for a
quick meal that tastes like home cooking. My time in the Boy Scouts before i became an Eagle Scout has taught
me a few camp cooking tricks and this is one of the better ones.
Goshen's
creamed tuna recipe can win a scout patrol some easy dinning points at a jamboree.
It can also win the hearts and stomachs of friends and family. Goshen's creamed
tuna is an easy recipe that only takes from 20-30 mins. This is good for people
on the go or campers alike.

Utensils:
· 4
quart kettle
· Fork
· Can
opener
· Stirring
spoon
Ingredients:
· 2
cans of mushroom soup
· 2
17 ounce(about 480 grams) cans of peas
· 3
6½ ounce(about 190 grams) cans of tuna
fish
Instructions:
Step 1:
The first step in Goshen's creamed tuna is put the soup in the kettle, and add
the liquid from the caned of peas to the kettle also. Add the peas to the soup.
Drain tuna slightly. (Drain the tuna juice into the empty pea can especially if
you are doing no trace camping.)
Step 2:
The second step in Goshen's creamed tuna is to add the tuna into the soup. Make
sure the tuna is broken apart, but make sure the tuna is not broken into to
small of pieces. Put the kettle over a bed of hot coals and bring to a simmer.
Let the creamed tuna simmer for 10-15 minutes and stir occasionally.
Tips:
Serve on rice, bread, or toast. This helps for presentation and helps with the
creamed tuna experience.
