Goshen's Southern Style Baked Salmon
Goshen's southern style baked salmon is a nice quick alternative to cooking salmon. Unlike my other recipes you may not want to marinade the salmon then night before. To make Goshen's southern style baked salmon you will only want to marinade the salmon an hour before cooking. The total time to prepare this meal is about 110 minutes. Goshen's southern style baked salmon calls for 2 salmon fillets if you want to prepare 4 double the ingredients for a nice southern treat for family and friends.
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 6 tablespoons(90 milliliters) of light olive oil
- 1 teaspoon(5 milliliters) of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon(5 milliliters) of pepper
- 1 tablespoon(15 milliliters) of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon(15 milliliters) of butter
- 1 tablespoon(15 milliliters) of freshly chopped parsley
- 2 (6 ounce(180 milliliters)) salmon fillets
Step 1: In a bowl prepare the marinade with the minced garlic cloves, olive oil, butter, basil, pepper, lemon juice, and parsley. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and place the salmon fillets in the bowl. Let the salmon fillets marinate for 60 minutes and turn occasionally while marinating. Remember that for Goshen's southern style baked salmon marinating it beyond one hour is not recommended for best results.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (190 Celsius)
Step 3: Place the fillets in aluminum foil, make sure to have enough aluminum foil to cover the fillets. Pour some of the marinade over the fillets and seal them in the aluminum foil. Put the fillets covered in aluminum in a bowl that can go in the oven. Then place in oven and cook for 35-45 minutes until the fillets flake easily. Then remove from oven and Goshen's southern style baked salmon is ready to enjoy.
