·         Zest of 1 lemon

·         Zest of 1 orange

·         1 cinnamon stick

·         Freshly cracked black pepper

·         2 cups (about 454 grams) of freshly hulled and halved strawberries

·         Fresh mint leaves

Directions:

Step 1: The first step in Goshen’s strawberries is to medium saucepan, add the wine, sugar, bay leaf, lemon and orange zests, cinnamon stick, and a couple grinds of pepper to taste. Bring to a boil over a high heat. After the mixture is brought to a boil turn it down to a low heat and simmer until the mixture is reduced by two-thirds.

This should take around 15-20 minutes. The mixture should have a consistency of honey and should coat the back of your spoon.

Step 2: The next step in Goshen’s strawberries is to strain the syrup just made through a fine-mesh strainer and discard all the solids. Spoon the fresh strawberries into bowls and drizzle with the home made syrup over them. Garnish with mint leaves and enjoy Goshen’s Strawberries.
