Started working at different sites in Southern England, before moving down to Dorset at the School of Signals and after several exercises, then moved to Germany for about 2 years.

Site Engineer on a mobile computer war games project for Plessey / BAOR (Royal Signals). Every 8 weeks made up of 6 weeks on exercise and moving every 4 hours and then back to camp to fix these systems for demonstrations.

Took part in Exercise Lion Heart the largest NATO Exercise and responsible for making the mobile communications work across all three services that enabled the NATO Commanders to see and plan all the troop movements for the 6 weeks of the exercise.

Computer Maintenance Engineer for UNIVAC Federal Systems / USAFE on their global base supply network and spent 6 months working across the USA.

Production Engineer programming computer controlled wiring machines and technical translation at A.E.G. AG on cabinet wiring harnesses for the DADAGE Early Warning Radar Systems and NATO AWACS. Technical Writer and worked on power supply maintenance manuals at Elekt Luft AG / German Air Force.

Quality Control Engineer on the NATO AWACS programme at Dornier AG. This covered the installation of equipment on each plane and its testing and the flight trails and sale run of the complete document set to NATO Procurement Officers. Mentored the German Project Managers to do the same and complete the sale run of the completed planes.
