Xbox 360 has had a problem with the hardware, since they started selling this console. The hardware fails after a while. People have sued the Microsoft Company and they still chose to sell the console. To resolve this ridiculous problem, the solution is to buy extra 1 year warranty. It comes with a 3 month warranty but that is not enough.

Next it's good for the Xbox 360 to have this thing called Niko cooling system which helps it stay cool and it won't heat up. This will definitely help the console stay in much better shape. Make sure that you don't play for too long because it can heat up. If your Xbox 360 does mess up, don't try to open it you should call Microsoft and ask them the problem.
The main thing is that if the power button has red light flashing around it, it means that your hardware has failed, which is not your fault. Microsoft was sued about on October 30th, 2008 for selling Xbox 360 consoles which had defects in them.
The Xbox 360 can be replaced with a new one if it's not functioning properly. The repaired Xbox 360 can mess up again and your warranty will be for no use and will be wasted. There is a very important thing is that make sure that your Xbox is standing up so the air comes out and is spread. On the other hand if it's set up in some place which is small, the air that comes out of the Xbox cannot spread out and that can cause it to heat up much quicker.
