This article focuses on triple tier marketing strategies that can be used by businesses of all sizes, but the intent is more toward the small business with a small marketing budget.

The theory of 'everything in threes' applies to all aspects of the marketing campaign. For example, you may want to run an email only campaign to announce the launch of your business. While developing your campaign, think in threes. Put yourself (your business) in front of your potential or existing customers three times. So in this case it would be three consecutive emails sent aproximately three weeks apart. Each email sent should also deal in threes. You could have three of your primary services or products offered on each of the emails sent.

There are other options to throw in the mix, though. Phone calls and direct mail pieces such as postcards or newsletters can play a valuable part in the campaign by giving the recipient a tangable item or a live person to talk to. You then may be looking at a campaign that has an email sent, followed by a post card mailing, followed by a followup phone call.

Marketing campaigns require a fair amount of work and should be tracked to measure effectivness. There are companies that will do all of the work for you for a fee, but for the do-it-yourselfer, there are resources that make it pretty simple to manage an effective marketing campaign. Below are links to some resources that I use regularly to launch inexpensive, yet effective campaigns.
